The Revenue Optimization Executive plays a key commercial role in driving revenue growth, maximizing yield, and enhancing profitability across multiple travel product lines. This position combines pricing strategy, demand analytics, and commercial planning to support business performance objectives.

Job Purpose

The Revenue Optimization Executive is responsible for maximizing revenue and profitability across all travel products, including flights, hotels, holiday packages, corporate travel services, and ancillary offerings.

The role leverages data analytics, pricing strategies, demand forecasting, and commercial planning to optimize sales performance and yield across distribution channels while ensuring pricing discipline and competitive positioning in the market.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pricing & Yield Management

• Develop and implement dynamic pricing strategies for flights, hotels, and holiday packages.
• Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and demand fluctuations to optimize yield.
• Manage rate loading, fare structures, and promotional pricing across online and offline distribution channels.
• Ensure pricing competitiveness while maintaining target margins.
• Identify pricing gaps and revenue leakage opportunities and implement corrective measures.

2. Demand Forecasting & Analytics

• Analyze historical booking data, seasonality trends, and customer purchasing patterns to forecast demand accurately.
• Develop predictive models to anticipate market shifts and customer behavior.
• Generate performance reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
• Provide actionable insights to Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to enhance revenue performance.
• Track KPIs including conversion rates, average ticket value, load factors, and booking windows.

3. Inventory & Capacity Optimization

• Collaborate with airlines, hotels, and Destination Management Companies (DMCs) to secure competitive rates and allocations.
• Optimize contracted inventory usage to prevent spoilage or revenue loss.
• Negotiate block bookings, allotments, and release periods aligned with forecasted demand.
• Monitor capacity utilization and recommend adjustments to maximize profitability.
• Maintain close coordination with product teams for effective packaging strategies.

4. Channel Performance Management

• Evaluate the performance of online channels (website, OTAs) and offline channels (retail branches, corporate accounts).
• Optimize channel mix to improve margins and reduce customer acquisition costs.
• Monitor discounting strategies and enforce pricing discipline across platforms.
• Analyze commission structures and cost distribution to improve overall yield.
• Identify growth opportunities in underperforming channels.

5. Business Strategy & Commercial Planning

• Develop revenue strategies aligned with overall business objectives and market opportunities.
• Support annual budgeting processes and commercial forecasting initiatives.
• Provide strategic input for pricing decisions and new product launches.
• Deliver detailed revenue performance reports to senior leadership.
• Conduct scenario analysis to assess risks and opportunities in volatile markets.

6. Technology & Systems Optimization

• Work closely with system providers including GDS platforms such as Amadeus, Sabre, and Travelport to ensure pricing accuracy and availability.
• Utilize Revenue Management Systems (RMS) and competitive rate intelligence tools for dynamic pricing automation.
• Enhance dashboards and Business Intelligence (BI) tools for improved reporting and analysis.
• Ensure system integration accuracy across booking engines and CRM platforms.

7. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with Sales teams to develop targeted promotions and pricing campaigns.
• Coordinate with Marketing to align revenue strategies with digital campaigns.
• Collaborate with Finance for profit and loss (P&L) analysis and margin optimization.
• Work closely with Operations and Product teams on contracting, packaging, and supplier negotiations.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships to support commercial objectives.

Technical Skills

• Advanced analytical and data modeling skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling).
• Experience using Power BI or Tableau for reporting and visualization.
• Strong working knowledge of GDS systems such as Amadeus, Sabre, and Travelport.
• Familiarity with Revenue Management Systems (RMS) and competitive pricing intelligence tools.
• Understanding of airline fare construction and hotel pricing principles.
• Experience with CRM systems and automated pricing tools.

Work Environment

This role is based in Sharjah, UAE, within the Retail division. The position requires collaboration with multiple departments and supplier partners. The environment is fast-paced and performance-driven, with a strong emphasis on analytical insight and strategic execution.
