Advisor – HSSE Fabrication Yard

Position Overview

• Support Health Safety Security and Environment activities at Fabrication Yard

• Ensure compliance with company policies client requirements and regulatory standards

• Promote strong HSE culture across construction fabrication and oil and gas operations

• Contribute to safe efficient and compliant project execution

Key Responsibilities

HSE Planning and Implementation

• Assist in developing HSE plans aligned with company and client requirements

• Support development of project specific HSE procedures and work instructions

• Implement HSE components across designated areas of responsibility

• Apply hazard identification and risk assessment processes and ensure risks are reduced to ALARP

Training and Awareness

• Conduct HSE inductions orientation sessions and awareness programs

• Ensure toolbox talks drills and emergency response training are carried out

• Promote HSE awareness campaigns and participation across teams

Monitoring Compliance and Audits

• Oversee day to day HSE activities within assigned areas

• Conduct inspections audits and compliance monitoring

• Participate actively in compliance assurance audits and performance meetings

• Ensure HSE requirements are communicated and verified through inspections and meetings

Incident Management and Reporting

• Investigate accidents and complete Accident Investigation Reports

• Ensure timely close out of corrective actions

• Prepare and submit lessons learned for management review

• Implement incident reporting and investigation procedures effectively

Additional Duties

• Support implementation of Safe Systems of Work including PTW WMS and Risk Assessments

• Ensure awareness and application of H2S control measures

• Carry out other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications and Experience

Education

• Bachelor Degree four years or Diploma three years from a recognized institution

• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification

• Lead or Internal Auditor certification ISO 45001 or ISO 14001

Experience

• Minimum five years experience in HSE

• At least one year experience in construction fabrication installation commissioning or production within oil and gas or petrochemical industries

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to conduct HSE orientation induction and awareness sessions

• Strong understanding of HSE plans welfare plans and emergency response procedures

• Practical experience in Safe Systems of Work

• Ability to conduct HSE inspections and audits

• Strong incident reporting and investigation knowledge

• Good English communication skills written and spoken
