About the Role
In this role, you will ensure all cargo claims and consignment-related non-conformances are thoroughly investigated and processed within defined departmental KPIs. You will create and maintain reports and dashboards to support analytical insights and business decision-making within Qatar Airways Cargo.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify trends in claims and shipment-related non-conformances and recommend corrective and preventive (CAPA) measures in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assess carrier liability through detailed investigations and provide first-level approval recommendations on claims outcomes.
• Conduct trend analysis and coordinate with stations to address root causes.
• Handle customer escalations efficiently to ensure service expectations are met within set timelines.
• Maintain updated records of court cases and coordinate with legal teams to protect the airline’s interests.
• Perform quality accuracy checks on investigations, communications, and claim summaries.
• Prepare weekly and monthly management reports.
• Manage training requirements of team members and ensure compliance standards are maintained.
• Evaluate systems and tools used in cargo claims and propose continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare documentation and business cases for digital and system enhancements.
• Support system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sign-off processes.
• Follow up on claim payments and recoveries through corporate insurance policies and third parties such as Ground Handling Agents (GHA) and trucking providers.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 4 years of relevant job-related experience
• Experience within the air cargo supply chain industry
• Previous experience in cargo operations or claims handling (preferred)
• Knowledge of aviation liability insurance (advantageous)
• Database management experience
