Job Purpose
The Organizational Development (OD) Specialist supports the design, delivery, and implementation of OD and HR initiatives across all airline hubs and subsidiaries to ensure standardization, alignment with business goals, and adherence to industry best practices.
The role contributes to policy development, capability building, leadership and talent development, performance management, job analysis, career path mapping, and succession planning. The position collaborates closely with HR teams and line managers to enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Organizational Development & Change Management
• Work closely with the Line Manager to recommend and facilitate structured end-to-end change management initiatives.
• Drive standardization and conformity in HR practices across hubs and subsidiaries.
• Develop OD frameworks, policies, and tools that support enterprise-wide capability building and long-term workforce planning.
• Contribute to leadership and high-potential talent development strategies.
• Ensure OD initiatives align with overall business goals and industry benchmarks.
HR Policy Development & Governance
• Engage with HR teams to enhance and enforce HR policies and procedures across Air Arabia Group.
• Provide guidance and advisory support to Line Managers on HR policies and compliance matters.
• Assist in developing HR policies that are consistent, compliant, and responsive to business needs and employee experience.
• Ensure policy updates reflect organizational restructuring and operational changes.
Performance Management
• Introduce and integrate the Performance Management System (PMS) into new joiner orientation processes.
• Support implementation and continuous improvement of PMS across all airline hubs.
• Analyze performance-related data to ensure consistency, fairness, and conformity in evaluations.
• Promote a culture of continuous feedback and performance excellence.
• Provide support to hubs during performance review cycles to maintain standardization.
Organizational Structure & Job Evaluation
• Assist in implementing systems and processes for job creation, job evaluation, and organizational structure design.
• Support organizational restructuring initiatives and related change management activities.
• Review and maintain an updated job description library in alignment with business changes.
• Ensure clarity in role definitions, reporting lines, and accountability structures.
Career Pathing & Talent Development
• Partner with Line Managers to design career path mapping frameworks.
• Guide employees and managers in creating and reviewing development plans.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on succession planning initiatives.
• Support identification and development of high-potential employees.
• Contribute to long-term talent pipeline planning across hubs and subsidiaries.
Learning & Development
• Design, develop, and deliver workshops related to Organizational Development and general HR functions.
• Facilitate training sessions as required to enhance leadership capability and employee engagement.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address competency gaps through targeted interventions.
HR Systems & Projects
• Perform HR system-related activities as required.
• Participate in HR transformation projects and organization-wide initiatives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and digital systems.
Qualifications
Academic Requirements
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Human Sciences, Management, or equivalent from a recognized university.
• MBA, Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD), or other HR professional certifications are advantageous.
Work Experience
• Minimum 4+ years of experience as an Organizational Development Specialist handling similar responsibilities.
• Overall 8+ years of experience in Human Resources functions.
• Experience in aviation or hospitality industries is preferred.
• Proven experience implementing performance management systems across all organizational levels.
• Strong experience analyzing performance-related data and ensuring evaluation consistency.
• In-depth knowledge of various HR functions and end-to-end HR processes is essential.
