Job Overview

The Aircraft Dispatcher is responsible for managing the full aircraft turnaround process in coordination with airport authorities, service providers, and airline flight crew. The role ensures safe, compliant, and on-time aircraft dispatch while maintaining strict adherence to safety, security, and airline operational standards.

The dispatcher has operational control over turnaround activities and plays a key decision-making role to ensure timely departures according to the airline’s published schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Weight and Balance

• Perform weight and balance calculations for various aircraft types across multiple airlines.

• Plan payload distribution to ensure safe and efficient aircraft operations.

• Ensure compliance with airline and regulatory weight and balance requirements.

Turnaround Management

• Supervise and control aircraft turnaround activities.

• Coordinate effectively with all stakeholders involved in ground handling.

• Provide leadership to ground service teams with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.

• Make tactical operational decisions affecting safe and timely departures.

Safety and Compliance

• Ensure all stakeholders operate in accordance with safety and security standards.

• Identify, correct, and report unsafe practices.

• Follow emergency procedures when required.

Delay and Reporting Management

• Anticipate operational delays that may impact the published time schedule.

• Update Target Off Block Time (TOBT) when required.

• Allocate delay codes after thorough investigation of off-schedule departures.

• Provide detailed reports to support future service improvements.

Education and Experience Requirements

Essential

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Load Control or Aircraft Weight and Balance.

• Strong knowledge of aircraft weight and balance principles.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Valid UAE driving license or eligible license for conversion.

Preferred

• Knowledge of load control systems.

• Familiarity with dangerous goods handling and storage.

• Previous DGR certification.

• Weight and balance license for aircraft operating in the GCC region.
