Overview

The QHSE Executive is responsible for ensuring consistent implementation of hygiene, food safety, health, safety, and quality standards across all retail outlets, distribution centers, and fresh food sections. The role focuses on monitoring compliance with UAE food safety regulations, conducting audits, delivering training, and coordinating with internal departments and external vendors.

This position plays a critical role in protecting product quality, ensuring legal compliance, and safeguarding customer health by proactively managing food safety systems, documentation, and operational controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain Hygiene, Safety, and Food Safety Standards across Receiving, Supermarket, and Fresh Food sections by applying legal and regulatory requirements.

• Ensure effective implementation of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) in retail outlets in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Maintain Hygiene, Safety, and Food Safety Standards in Distribution Centers (DC) and DCRC facilities.

• Ensure quality of fresh produce and fresh category products through regular inspections and monitoring.

• Conduct Food Safety Training sessions for staff and supervisors as per the approved training plan and calendar.

• Develop training materials to improve awareness and compliance among employees.

• Perform retail store hygiene audits, prepare detailed reports, and escalate critical findings for corrective action.

• Monitor pest control activities in Shops, DC, and DCRC and recommend improvements where necessary.

• Coordinate calibration of equipment and assets to maintain accuracy and compliance.

• Arrange and monitor food, water, and surface swab testing requirements for outlets.

• Participate in supplier audits and vendor development initiatives to ensure quality and compliance standards.

• Coordinate with maintenance and project teams for hygiene, safety, and compliance-related activities and follow-ups.

• Handle, record, and resolve food safety-related customer complaints with proper documentation.

• Coordinate with HR for staff medicals of food handlers and verify availability of valid Health Cards and Food Safety Training Certificates as per UAE regulations.

Qualifications

• MSc in Microbiology

• HACCP Level 3 Certification

Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, or Retail QHSE operations
